How to earn money from home

By MomReesa

earn money from home earn money from home

Have you always wanted to work from home? I didn't realize how easy it could be with a little dedication and effort! While you may not necessarily earn the kind of money from in-home that you do working out of the home, you can certainly earn a modest income. As I type this, I am in my pajamas, drinking coffee, and getting ready to work on two long-term projects that I picked up online! My "paychecks" for these projects will be posted to my PayPal account and I won't have to have a micromanaging employer breathing down my neck. Of course, in order to work from home, you should have a relevant skill, whether it be graphic design, writing, data entry, medical transcription, administrative assistant skills, etc.

Instructions

Things You’ll Need:

  • Home computer
  • Business materials (letterhead, business cards, etc.)
  • Internet access
  • A relevant skill
  • Telephone
Step1
Figure out what you have to offer. Do you like to write? If you've been published, this one will be less challenging, but it is certainly not difficult to find web content writing jobs without being published. Just dust off some of those old academic papers!

Two of the best places to apply for web content writing jobs are Demand Studios (www.demandstudios.com) and Writers Research Group (www.writersresearchgroup.com). From what I've heard, both are fair companies, pay fairly, and are legitimate.

Just apply and wait for them to respond. Basically, you will write 250-500 word articles (probably how-to articles) for $10-15 each, depending on your skill and experience level. If you are a fast writer, you can make up to $30 per hour. Of course, it would be grueling to do this for eight hours a day for the long term, but this is a good way to pad your income.

Step2
Peruse Craigslist for your area and beyond (www.craigslist.com). Under gigs, you can peruse the "writing" section and the "creative" section for graphic design or writing jobs. Or, under the jobs section, you can do a specific search by clicking on "telecommute" or keyword searching for "remote," "telecommute," "work from home," or "freelance." Don't search simply in your immediate area. Be sure to search in other cities as well as your own.

Step3
Get connected to an online community. I like Work at Home Mom (www.wahm.com). Not only does this site list job openings, but you can also go to the message board section to post any questions you may have and a whole host of work-at-home folks will answer. You can also open an account on any host of other Web sites and put your Web site (if you have one) or your contact info in your signature, or promote your business in your bio. Two sites I like where you can do this in your bio are The Knot (www.theknot.com) or The Nest (www.thenest.com). Don't forget, the more you post, the more you promote your business!

JYOTHIKA BIDS ADIEU TO ARCLIGHTS AFTER THE MARRIAGE:

Chennai, Sept. 13 (UNI): Having been kept out of the most colourful real life Kollywood weddings on Monday, primarily due to security reasons, about 200 newspersons representing local and upcountry print and television channels, were hosted a lunch preceded by a brief interaction with the star couple Surya and Jyothika at a five star hotel here on Tuesday.
But there was bit of a disappointment among the media who were all set to shoot their questions when the host veteran actor and Surya's father, Sivakumar said 'only four questions on behalf of the 200 journalists for lack of time."
Answering the first query, a predictable one, Surya said wife, Jyothika will not act anymore. "Not for now atleast. We want to raise a family", he reasoned.
"About the future, I can't say. I don't think it will be possible. We want to raise a family", Surya said answering a 'supplementary' on the topic.
However, the media wanted to hear it from Jyothika herself. The still "shy bride" got up, and speaking in English said "Yes, I don't want to get back to work. I have been working for ten years. I want to do something different like having a family."
Asked how it felt to have 'tied the knot' after a long wait, Surya said in jest "it has been worth the wait. We wanted to get the consent of both the families."
He said he would be taking Jyothika to Europe for the honeymoon.
Meanwhile, thanking the press profusely for devoting so much space for the wedding, Sivakumar said he was originally planning to have it on a much grander scale by way of invitees.
But a prank played by a fan of mine and Surya in a bomb scare letter to the AIADMK office, during the erstwhile government, forced him to change his mind.
And the 9/11 date of the wedding, added to the security burden, he said.
After the press meet, Sivakumar also invited the media personnel to pose for a "keep sake" photograph with Surya and Jyothika
